Overview
The settings screen opens from video management: click Edit next to the video. On the left, navigation by area; in the center — the player and tabs (details, topics, privacy, and more).
Video and trim (segments)
In the Video area, the player and action buttons appear (e.g. save frame as poster). For videos that are not from YouTube, Trim video (segments) is also available: add segments with start and end times to create a new trimmed video. Detailed guide: Single video trim.
General details
In the General details tab you set:
- Title (required) – the name shown in lists and search.
- General description – text on the watch page.
- Channel / category – assign the video to a channel.
- User selection (for administrators) – video ownership.
- Video status (for administrators) – loading, processing, published, hidden, etc.
- Creation date.
- Poster image – upload an image or save a frame from the player.
- Automatic poster generation – based on video details.
Topics
Video topics (chapters) define time points with a name — for navigation in the player and lists. Adding and editing is done above the player on this screen: New topic and Topics buttons next to the video (when the video is published). Privacy
In the Privacy tab you set:
- Privacy level – public, private, or intermediate permissions (depending on system settings).
- Hidden mode – the video does not appear in lists but remains accessible to anyone with the link (if enabled).
- Download option – whether to allow downloading the video (for videos that are not from YouTube).
View restriction
In the View restriction tab you can limit viewing to a user group or specific users:
- Check Restrict viewing to specific users – enable the restriction.
- Restriction type – specific users, user group, or all users (depending on settings).
- Select users or groups from the lists (including user search).
You can also view view-restriction statistics if the option is available.
Subtitles
The Subtitles tab (shown only for videos that are not from YouTube) lets you go to the interface for creating or editing subtitles. The tab provides a link to the dedicated subtitles page for the video.
